SATURDAY FEBRUARY 3RD
LEEROY THORNHILL (x-PRODIGY) (UK)
Tech / Hard Breaks / Electro

Leeroy spent 10 years with the Prodigy on their worldwide tours, numerous festival events and general hell raising shenanigans. A couple of years ago Leeroy left the band to concentrate on his own productions under the name Flightcrank and re launching his DJ career which he didn’t really have time for while in the band. He picked up his musical style whilst touring with the Prod in mid 90’s¬ it is a mix of tuff breaks, old skool samples and electro known as Miami Bass. This is basically a great mash up of breaks n electro style toons, using plenty of familiar hooks, with a good old skool feel. Heavy on the electro edge and full of funk that rocks the dancefloor.

SUNDAY 18TH FEBRUARY (CHINESE NEW YEAR : DAY 1)
GODSKITCHEN with MICKEY SLIM (UK)
House / Big Beat / Crunk

Micky’s love affair with house dates back over ten years, it was only two years ago that things really started to happen for him. After playing various bars and clubs around the midlands, he rented the Canal club in Wolverhampton in April 2005 to host a Tsunami fund raiser. The night proved a monstrous success and repeat bookings at the venue gave Micky the chance to shine alongside the likes of Yousef, Jose Nunez, Richard F and Tom Neville. At the same time Micky was making a big impact on the Birmingham after hours scene, which gave him the chance to develop his style and make his sets even more unique.

The wheels however properly turned when Mickys quickly growing fan base came to the attention of Godskitchen promoter Mark Gillespie. Gillespie was quick to install Micky as Godskitchen Electric resident, a very special moment for Micky especially considering he had been a regular at the club from its beginning at the Sanctuary and had attended every one of Godskitchen’s colossal Global Gathering festivals. Micky’s Gods residency has seen him play regularly to a rapturous home crowd alongside the likes of Erick Morillo, Chris Lake, Richard Dinsdale, James Zabiela and Fergie, as well as debut at Global, which he achieved in July. Almost 50,000 people converged on the festival at Long Manston Airfield near Stratford Upon Avon with Micky playing in the same arena as Deep Dish, Steve Lawler and Tiesto. And with James Zabiela stuck in traffic, the BBC gave Micky the opportunity of a lifetime by recording his set for broadcast on the Essential Mix. Micky duly responded by delivering 45 minutes full of filthy acid, wonky electro and twisted tech house to a worldwide audience. This is without doubt the finest moment in Micky’s career to date. Such exposure has resulted in major interest from throughout the UK and abroad- deserved credit for such a memorable performance.

If 2006 wasn’t big enough already for Micky, then the cherry on top comes courtesy of the creation of his own record label, Bomb Squad Records, which came to fruition earlier this year. The label’s first release was the awesome ‘Acid Is The Bomb’, which came with a Jon Gurd remix. It achieved considerable success following major support on Radio1 from Fergie. Micky will follow this up with the release of ‘Wow’ in September, another superb effort and a clear sign that if Micky’s DJ & production career is anything to go by, this label is set to make a huge impact. A collaboration with Chris Lake titled ‘Shake’ (due for release on Rising), as well as remixes of Calvin Harris ‘Girls,’ DJ Grad ‘Piano 99’ (Rising Trax), Seb Fontaine & Jay P ‘Do The Do,’ Jaydee ‘Plastic Dreams’ (Incentive), Chad Lewis ‘Raw Kemistry’ (Groovedigital), and Adonis ‘Rockin Down the House’ (Simply Vinyl), have all received tremendous support from Radio1 and are set to raise Micky’s profile yet further.

Cover charges on 18 FEBRUARY:
Before 10.30pm - $20 for males and $15 for females (both covers include 1 drink) and
After 10.30pm - $28 for males and $23 for females (both covers include 2 drinks)

SATURDAY 24TH FEBRUARY
TRANSMISSION with JOHN 'OO' FLEMING (UK)
Trance / Progressive

Few people can claim to have been at the pinnacle of their profession for a sustained period of time, having enjoyed so much success and still be leading the way forward. John 00 Fleming, one of the dance music industries most revered personalities, is amongst a small band of people who can say they were responsible for igniting the spark of the scene we all know and love today.
